This program is an important opportunity for students to learn about helping others in our community. Burns Park coordinates with Ann Arbor’s Food Gatherers organization to prepare bag lunches which are provided to local homeless shelters. Food Gatherers provides the food, and each Tuesday students from two classes prepare the lunches. Volunteers are needed Tuesday mornings from the first bell until around 9:30 to set up, assist students, and clean up.
