The Multicultural Committee focuses student and faculty attention on the culture, geography, and language of a country or region of the world. Recent topics have included Spanish-speaking countries, India and South Asia, and Scotland. This year’s topic is Africa, and the Multicultural Committee hopes to provide a variety of experiences for students to learn about African cultures. The committee coordinates with faculty, particularly art, music, library and PE teachers, so that experiences are integrated with regular instruction whenever possible.

The committee hopes to arrange for students to attend performances focusing on African music, dance, and art. Volunteers will attend committee meetings to develop ideas and will assist in implementing lessons and activities.
