Numerous experts are available in the Ann Arbor area to present on topics related to parenting and the education of elementary children. One of this committee’s goals is to inform parents about upcoming sessions that are being offered at nearby schools and centers. For example, we often notify parents of programs offered through the University of Michigan Center for the Child and Family (http://www.umuccf.org). Another goal of this committee is to organize programs here at Burns Park that are particularly relevant to our community. Volunteers will assist with topic identification, speaker recruitment, event planning and publicity.
