Read-a-thon

To volunteer, contact the committee chair, Deborah Fisch

The Read-a-thon is a one-day school event that concludes our annual March is Reading Month celebration. Students in grades 3-5 spend much of the day enjoying books independently;K-2 students enjoy listening to books read aloud by volunteers. Groups of K-2 students rotate through several different stations at which volunteers read books in keeping with the theme selected for March is Reading Month.  The school media specialist is available to help with book selection.  Volunteers enjoy an afternoon reading aloud to a receptive audience!  This event typically occupies 1-2 hours of the afternoon. The 2008 Read-a-thon is scheduled for Friday, March 28.
