To all Burns Park families: We are excited to announce the addition of Earth Shine Farm to our Burn$ Park Buck$ fundraiser – each week you will have the opportunity to order locally raised organic chicken from them. Over the years many families have asked if we could add organizations like this to our scrip program and we are really looking forward to this partnership. The chicken orders and payments will be separate from the rest of the Burn$ Park Buck$ orders. Please read on for more information about the chicken and the ordering process.

Welcome! On behalf of the students, staff, teachers and parents, we are so pleased that your family is joining the Burns Park community. You will find Burns Park to be a friendly school, where families work and play together to create a safe and comfortable environment for our children.

Andy Thomas, the Burns Park rep to the city-wide PTO Council, reports on their September meeting in the attached file.

1. There is no school on Friday, March 21.
2. Lunches with Love meets on Tuesday just after drop off in the cafeteria until 9:30.
3. Fresh, local, pasture raised, organic chicken eggs are available again this week. Please order by Wednesday, March 19 at 5 pm (hstarman@comcast.net) The eggs cost $4.95/dozen and Earth Shine Farm is donating 10% of sales to the PTO. We need to return the egg cartons – there will be a box outside the office where you can leave your cartons.

At the PTO’s general meeting on April 17th, we heard a presentation from the Citizens’ Millage Committee about the two school tax proposals on the May 6th ballot. In response to that presentation, the PTO members present agreed unanimously that the PTO should take a public position supporting the proposals. They also approved the following resolution by a unanimous vote:
